Redeeming is usually done at the payment step on the brand's own website or app. You look for the box that asks for a gift card or voucher code, enter the code from your card, and apply it, after which the value is taken off what you owe.
If the card does not cover the whole purchase, most brands let you pay the rest with another method in the same transaction, so you are never stuck partway. If there is value left over after your purchase, it generally stays on the card for next time, depending on the brand's rules.
Enter the code exactly as shown, since these codes are case and character sensitive, and keep the card details until you have finished spending the balance. If a redemption will not go through, the brand's help pages are the quickest route, and we are here if the card came from our store.
